The POLARIS - Phased Sequential Gas Injection , retrofit system

The performances of the modern gas ECU - ELIOS, make the
"master-slave" management of electronic injection of LPG in gaseous
phase, in controlled ignition engines with or without lambda probe
and catalytic converter.
In the "master-slave" mode, the gas ECU [slave] elaborates the
injection signals coming from the car's original petrol ECU [master]
and commands the functioning of the gas injectors. This means that
the functioning strategy of the gas supply imitates the petrol
functioning strategy (phased sequential, semi sequential, full unit
etc). This functioning strategy is possible due to gas
electro-injectors that ensure opening / closing times similar to
those in petrol injectors.

ELECTRONIC
CONTROL UNIT
Elios is from the latest generation of electronics
control units capable of producing phased sequential injection in
the gaseous phase. unlike what usually occurs in older systems ,
Elios works in perfect symbiosis with the control unit of the
original petrol powered plant, processing all the signals needed to
determine the appropriate amount of LPG to send to the engine. It
incorporates emulators for the petrol injectors and independently
manages the change to gas after commutation (in accordance with the
operation temperature ), the transitory phases and the diagnosis
strategies: enrichment under full load, fuel dropping out (cut-off),
restriction of peak rpm, and change to petrol in case of
malfunction.
COMMUTATOR
Its essential and modern design along with the extremely compact
dimensions facilitate installation inside the car. The commutator is
an electronic device that permits the changeover between the two
existing fuel supply systems installed in the car, by means of an
appropriate selector. The change to gas always depends on the engine
temperature; Elios electronic control unit is the device which
directs this operation. It also has the further function of
indicating the level LPG in the gas tank, by progressive lighting 5
LEDs.
Polaris is easy to be installed, doesn't need connection of RPM
signal and setting of the system, simple and quick, is managed by
the special software supplied.

REDUCER VAPORIZER
Hercules is a mono-phase reducer, equipped with water heat
exchanger, exit pressure compensation device and temperature and
pressure sensors. Compensation permits the pressure change between
the reducer exit gas and the suction manifold to be maintained at a
constant level, in accordance with the variations in operating
conditions. this involves an increase of the injection pressure in
proportion with the engine load., guaranteeing an optimal result
from the system for all power requirements . The purpose of the
temperature and sensor pressures is to collect the main information
regarding the physical state of the LPG and to transmit it to
control unit which then makes appropriate modifications to the
injection times.
ELECTRONIC INJECTORS
E.V.G is an electronic injector comprising two, three or four
nozzles with an appropriate section (varying from car to car
depending on cubic capacity), and an electromagnetic ignition
coil/valve system that controls the opening and closing of the
nozzles. It features an extremely rapid response(<1 ms), almost
comparable to normal petrol injectors. Because of of this,
POLARIS also allows for comfortable and optimal driving in every
gear.
"The Polaris Sequential Injection System also contains all the other
accessories like solenoid valves, copper pipes, rubber hoses,
clamps, multivalve, airtight box and permanent tanks [cylindrical /
toroidal], in addition to the above highlighted main components.
Since the system as against the traditioanl mixer feeding system, is
working on a MASTER [petrol ECU] / SLAVE [gas ECU] symbiosis, the
tuning part is based on a highly sophisticated software."
