MULTIVALVE
This device will be fitted on the tank and is meant for safety
reasons. The Multivalve will be coming in different sizes and
dimensions to suit the tank capacity and shape. The Multivalve is
equipped with a float, which shows an approximate reading regarding
the amount of gas available in the tank. The Multivalve has
following valves, as under:
(i) Fill Limiter Valve: This valve ensures that only 80% of the tank
capacity is filled with fuel LPG. This is a universally accepted
safety precaution and norm. The rest 20% of the space will be kept
for the gas to expand and contract with regard to change in
temperature.
(ii) Inlet Valve: This is a non-returnable valve and prevents the
gas from coming out of the tank even if the filling point is
tampered.
(iii) Outlet Valve: This one is a solenoid controlled valve which
allows the safe flow of LPG to the pressure reducer through copper
pipes. This is basically a cut off valve which stops the flow of LPG
when the engine's ignition system is put off.
(iv) Pressure Relief Valve/Thermal Fuse Valve: This valve releases
the LPG contained in the tank to outside of the car compartment, if
in case an excess pressure is built up inside the tank due to an
impact buckling of the tank .The Multivalve is individually approved
by the respective Govt. of India agency - Petroleum and
Explosives Safety Organisation [PESO] , Nagpur.AIR
TIGHT BOX / VAPOUR BOX
This
is a safety device within which Multivalve is mounted on the tank.
This prevents any kind of LPG leakage into the boot space or
passenger compartment and ensures that LPG will go out to the
atmosphere in case of any leakage happening near the Multivalve.
Also it forms as coverage to the multivalve's operational
components.
